Nutrition Education In Action: Chef in the Classroom

Having a CHEF IN THE CLASSROOM flavors children’s experiences with cuisines representing different cultures while demonstrating appreciation of our differences. The Chef and the students work together to create each meal. Lesson plan and classroom guidlines available.

Effects of Nutrition Policy Changes

The middle school lunch program for the San Francisco Unified School District is the topic of an American Journal of Public Health article. 

The peer review story is called, "Healthier Choices and Increased Participation in a Middle School Lunch Program: Effects of Nutrition Policy Changes in San Francisco."
