Asset Building

The School Health Programs uses an "Asset Based Approach" to working with young people. This comprehensive approach addresses supporting the whole child in building the strengths that young people need to grow up to be healthy and responsible. The development of both external and internal assets is vital to the resiliency that an individual demonstrates both as an adolescent and as an adult; school settings offer an ideal environment to build upon these assets.
